To be honest, when I first heard about Hello Fresh I didn’t really get it. I was like, why would you pay for a meal you have to prepare and cook yourself when you can just google a recipe and get ingredients from the shop? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I ordered a free box though after my sister tried it out and I have to admit I loved it!
After having Tommy getting to the shops isn’t always an easy or pleasant thing to do and finding the time and energy to come up with a dinner plan is like solving an advanced math problem 😳 I’ve truly enjoyed the convenience and it’s given me some great recipe ideas, even @john__ill liked it!

It’s been a while since this Mumma has felt like her old self but this weekend I got to get dressed up and have a few drinks with the girls. It’s seems like such a small thing but so massive for my mental health and well-being to regain a small piece of myself as a woman and not just a mum.
Any other mums out there feel me? What’s the one thing you love to do to switch off from #Mumlife

One of the first things on my list of “postpartum goals” was to fit back into my old jeans. I still have a bit of work to do (it’s been a lot harder than I was expecting) but today I was able to get the zipper up on my favourite pair so that’s a win... Sitting & Breathing was optional though 😆

On day two of dummy weaning with Tommy!

Earlier today I asked for your tips for dummy weaning in my stories and so far most people have advised me NOT to get rid of the dummy 🙈😂... very tempting!
I never actually wanted to introduce a dummy but got overwhelmed with advice (being a first time mum) and wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing so gave in. At first it was actually a great settling tool and helped to get Tommy sleeping through the night 🙌🏻 #winning. Now that he’s older though it’s become more of a hinderance and I spend my nights playing this “fun” little game where he wakes up, cries for his dummy, I put it in, he knocks it out immediately and we go round in circles for hours 😒. He sleeps next to me in a co-sleeper so it’s easy enough to pop it back in but his sleep is disturbed and I really want to transition him to his cot in the next month (he’s about to grow out of it anyway). I am really not keen on getting up a 100 times a night to play that game.
I hadn’t planned on losing the dummy cold turkey but after attempting to go dummy free for the entire day I got stubborn and didn’t want to give in 🙈. Last night was tough! Hearing anyone (or thing) upset is hard let alone someone you love but we powered through and already I feel like Tommy is learning.
I was most worried about car trips which is where he seems to need the dummy most but today he self settled 3 times without the dummy 🙌🏻 and while it’s still early days it’s made me confident about my decision.
I LOVE gathering information, getting other people’s advice and hearing their experiences. I might not always act on the advice I’m given but I’m truly grateful for it. I’m learning now not to get overwhelmed with it and instead to use it to help me to cement my own decisions. If someone offers advice and I still want to do it my way I know I’m on the right track. That being said... I’ve been so blown away by the “sisterhood” of mums who constantly offer their support. I’m forever grateful for it, so thank you and never stop sending it my way.

These two just melt my heart everyday!
I feel so incredibly blessed that (my sister) @allinwonderland87 and I had these two munchkins so close together. The bond that’s already developing between them fills me with so much joy and love. They’ll no doubt be fighting like brother and sister (not cousins) in no time 😆
It took me almost 3 years to conceive Tommy and it was hard for me when Alli fell pregnant before me. I was so happy for her but it also broke my heart a little because I was worried I’d never experience the same. Now I believe the universe (if you believe in that sort of thing 🤷🏼‍♀️) was making me wait so we could share this journey of motherhood together. Becoming a mum has given me wrinkles and it’s not from the broken sleep or parenting stresses. It’s from smiling ear to ear and pulling over exaggerated faces whenever I’m talking to Tommy 🤪😆
His little smile makes me smile like an idiot 💙 #17weeksold #mummasboy

I spend a lot of time thinking about the person my little Thomas will become. Whoever that is I just hope he’s happy.... and calls his mother every once in a while 😉
PS: How cute is Tommy’s little birthmark on his hand? (Second photo) It actually came up a couple of weeks after he was born and at first I was terrified I’d bruised him 🙈 lucky it wasn’t me 🤞🏻
